As a leader in the power distribution and power quality products/services for more than 60 years with facilities in Southern California, Ohio, Texas, and Mexico, Myers continues to enjoy growth in the marketplace and is currently seeking qualified engineers for various new positions within the company; relocation assistance available. Successful candidates must have related experience in switchgear design and/or estimating in medium and low voltage gear with working knowledge of UL891, UL1558 and UL1670. Myers offers custom switchgear solutions with high levels of reliability and functionality for the Utility, Industrial and Commercial markets.

NEW!!! Electrical Project Engineer
Candidate must be well versed in the design low/medium voltage switchgear (5 kV – 38 kV) and associated protection and control circuits including layout, component selection, bill of material, electrical (1-line, 3- line) diagrams and control wiring diagrams. Candidate must possess knowledge of codes and standards: ANSI C37, IEEE, NEC. BSEE or equivalent and 6 to 12 Years’ experience with protection control and relaying schemes required. Emphasis in power distribution preferred.

NEW!!! Electrical Engineering Manager
Candidate must have a proven record of successfully leading the group of engineers and designers. He or she must have experience in relays, metering and protection electrical design and drawings; design of MV switchgear (5kV to 38kV), LV switchgear / switchboards (240V to 600V) power distribution centers, electrical enclosures, relay racks / cabinets, load interrupting switchgear, and unit substations; drafting best practices; budget control methods, policies, and procedures; and NEC, Utility Electric Service Requirements (ESR), ANSI C37, UL, CA Title 24, and State Seal process. BSEE or equivalent and three to 10 years of engineering group leadership experience required.

BSEE or equivalent and proficiency in AUTOCAD required.

NEW!!! Mechanical Designer
Candidate must be well-versed in the design of low/medium voltage switchgear, PDC, and associated mechanical layout and assembly drawings including bills of material and electrical drawings to design switchgear and perform PDC layout. Must be capable of preparing sheet steel, structural steel, and copper part drawings using AutoCAD and/or 3D SolidWorks. Must be able to provide technical assistance to fabrication and assembly shop and apply product knowledge and technical skills to solve problems. Candidate must possess excellent written and oral communications skills. Two-12 years of experience preparing mechanical part drawings for electromechanical equipment and proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, and MS Office required.

Transit Sales Engineer
Basic Qualifications:  Candidate must have an engineering or technical degree plus five or more years of experience in the transit market and application/sales experience with traction power substations & systems.  He or she must have experience calling on contractors, EPCs, end users, and consulting engineers.  Strong communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment are required.
